Job Description: We are offering a unique opportunity to work as a System Engineer at a high-tech container terminal with an incredibly wide field of IT processes, data, and robots. we work with the latest technologies and innovation is a daily part of your work as a System Engineer. In this role, you make a difference every day, together with the team of network engineers, database administrators, application administrators, and system administrators. As an IT System Engineer (3rd line), you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our entire IT infrastructure. In our own data centers, you manage virtual and physical servers, storage, and data recovery solutions. You, together with your colleagues from the IT-Infrastructure team, ensure high availability and stability of our IT infrastructure. The impact of the work of the IT department is significant; the largest and fully automated cranes in Europe run on the data, systems, and infrastructure you manage.
Your Role Your day could look like this:

• Analysis of IT failures and solving these failures.
• Design and execute solutions to test and guarantee high availability. Think of clustering, disaster recovery, and cloud computing.
• Provide production and support for our storage and server hardware.
• Setup, manage, and monitor the complete server and storage landscape.
• One of the projects you will be working on is participating in the IT team to work on a Cloud migration. A unique opportunity to develop yourself.

Requirements: The new System Engineer has both knowledge and experience On-Prem and in the Cloud. In addition, you are curious and want to continue to develop yourself. You are immediately hands-on as a System Engineer and therefore we attach great value to practical experience. In the role of System Engineer it is important that you:

• Have a completed mbo level 4 or hbo education in the direction of IT.
• Have knowledge and experience of cloud computing focused on Azure.
• You have demonstrable knowledge and experience in both cloud and on-premise areas such as; VMWare ESXi, Microsoft Windows Server (AD/DNS/GPO), Certificates, and PowerShell.
• Preferably also have knowledge of Veeam, Pure Storage, and Cisco UCS.
• Are analytical. This is indispensable when designing and managing the integration between processes, data, and robots.
• Have a healthy dose of social skills, also in English. During your work, you have a lot of contact with colleagues from different departments.
• Are available for a consignment service, this is 1 week per 6 weeks and sometimes incidentally based on expertise.
• Because of our location on Maasvlakte 2, it is important that you have your own transport.
